Project CAcert

CAcert Inc is an Australian based organization. The goal of CAcert is to provide free x.509 certificates for signing and encrypting e-mail messages and SSL certificates for websites and services like TLS, SSL etc. To validate the users a web of trust is used. This web of trust will ensure that a user is seen by a minimum amount of 2 - 4 assurers that have been validated before.
